Article Processing Charges

To support the open access publishing model, the Annals of Dermatological Research (ADR) levies Article Processing Charges (APCs) that cover the cost of peer review, editorial work, production, indexing, archiving, and long-term accessibility. APCs are payable only after an article is accepted for publication.

ADR ensures transparency by publishing its complete APC structure. Submissions and peer review are free of charge.

  • Editorial assessment and management of manuscripts.

  • Permanent hosting on the ADR website and indexing in databases.
  • Long-term preservation through Portico, LOCKSS, and CLOCKSS.

Payment Methods

APCs can be paid using the following methods:

  • Credit/debit card (Visa, MasterCard, Amex).

  • Institutional or funding agency payments.
  • PayPal (subject to availability in author’s region).

Waivers and Discounts

ADR recognizes the importance of equitable publishing opportunities. Waivers or partial discounts may be granted to authors from low- and middle-income countries (as per World Bank classification), or in cases of demonstrated financial hardship. See our Waiver Policy for details.

Refund Policy

APCs are generally non-refundable once an article is published. Refunds are only considered for duplicate payments, technical errors, or rejections after APC payment but before publication. Full details are available in the Refund Policy.

Authors are encouraged to explore funding support for APCs through:
