Author Guidelines
The Annals of Dermatological Research (ADR) welcomes submissions from researchers, clinicians, and scholars in the field of dermatology and allied sciences. These Author Guidelines provide detailed instructions for preparing and submitting manuscripts, ensuring adherence to international publishing standards (ICMJE, COPE, DOAJ).

General Formatting
- Manuscripts must be in English, submitted in Microsoft Word or LaTeX format.
- Font: Times New Roman, size 12, double-spaced.
- Margins: 1 inch on all sides.
- Pagination: All pages must be numbered consecutively.
Manuscript Structure
- Title Page
- Article title (concise and informative).
- Full names, affiliations, and ORCID IDs of all authors.
- Corresponding author’s email and phone number.
- Abstract (up to 250 words, structured into Background, Methods, Results, and Conclusion).
- Keywords (4–6 relevant terms for indexing).
- Introduction
- Materials and Methods (include ethical approval details for studies involving humans or animals).
- Results
- Discussion
- Conclusion
- Acknowledgments
- References (use Vancouver/NLM style).
References
References should follow the Vancouver citation style. Example:
Smith J, Brown K. Advances in dermatological research. Ann Dermatol Res. 2023;12(3):45–52.
Figures and Tables
- Figures must be in high-resolution (minimum 300 dpi, formats: TIFF, JPEG, PNG).
- Tables must be editable, not embedded as images.
- Each figure and table should have a descriptive caption.
Ethical Requirements
- All clinical studies must state approval by an Institutional Review Board (IRB) or Ethics Committee.
- Patient consent must be obtained for identifiable data or case reports.
- Animal research must follow internationally accepted guidelines for humane treatment.
Conflict of Interest and Funding Disclosure
Authors must declare all potential conflicts of interest and funding sources in the manuscript.
Submission Process
Manuscripts must be submitted through the ADR online submission system. The corresponding author will receive an acknowledgment upon submission and can track progress through peer review.
Peer Review
ADR follows a double-blind peer review process. Authors must ensure manuscripts are anonymized before submission.
Open Access and Licensing
ADR publishes under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0). Authors retain copyright while granting ADR the right to disseminate their work.
Author Responsibilities
- Ensure the manuscript is original, accurate, and free from plagiarism.
- Confirm that all listed authors contributed significantly to the work.
- Promptly notify the editor of any errors discovered after submission or publication.

Yes. ADR accepts manuscripts that have been previously deposited in preprint servers.

Research articles should be 3,000–6,000 words; short communications up to 1,500 words.
